Quick DIY Beauty - Dry Hands Tip

Posted by on

Well, the snow has returned to North Yorkshire today and whilst it looks jolly pretty it can wreak havoc on your skin. Hands are hard working and often the first to show signs of dryness. If your hands are looking a little grey, dry and flaky then try this quick DIY beauty tip to give them an instant rescue treat.

Simply cup a spoon of oats (porridge or rolled are fine) in the palm of your hand and add a few drops of warm water to make a paste. Then rub the paste gently all over your hands, as if washing them, for a minute or two. And rinse. The oats give a gentle exfoliation to remove dead skin cells, plus oats are cleansing, soothing, calming, anti-inflammatory and help your skin retain moisture.

Give it a go and let me know what you think. The same technique can be used on the face and body but watch for porridgey bath water!
