If you are trying to go more natural with your skincare, cosmetics and toiletries it can be a bit of a minefield to start with. Knowing where to shop, what to look for, who to buy from and what ingredients to avoid. So, I thought I'd do a series to help. I'll recommend some products that Myroo don't make from brands I've come to trust.
First up, Kingfisher Toothpaste. Toothpaste is a good place to start with going natural in the bathroom, after all you use it twice a day and probably ingest a fair bit. It is also an important one in our house as me and our big girl both react to mainstream toothpaste, with cracked, sore skin at the corner of our mouths. I think it's the SLS but as those of us with allergies understand all too well, it can be really hard identifying triggers.
Whatever your reasons for wanting to use a natural toothpaste, Kingfisher is a great brand. They specialise in toothpaste, so really know what they're talking about, they've been making natural toothpaste for nearly 20 years. The range is natural and vegan and contains no gluten, artificial colourings, flavourings, sweeteners or preservatives. They offer also fluoride-free and with fluoride too, depending on your preference.
It's also easily available being in most health food shops and Waitrose and Holland & Barrett. And at around £2.80 a tube it's not much more expensive than mainstream products. We find it lasts longer too.
Our favourite is the mint but we keep meaning to try the strawberry too.
If you make the switch let us know what you think.
